to me Hello,

I am writing in response to your interest on my Craigslist post . You will work from home for only 2 hour per day for a basic wages of $400 per week You need to go through my introductory message:

I am Lewis Williams, a Successful Entrepreneur, investor and a research journalist .I travel a lot, within and outside the US working on various independent projects, this is why I need an PERSONAL ASSISTANT, to keep up with all of my activities especially when i travel abroad.

Please note that you are being hired only on a personal level. All correspondences would be made and promptly reported to me personally. The position is part time and home-based meaning you can work most times from your home as long as you have a regular internet access. You are also hired on a trial basis for now until we are able to see how well we fit in, this however does not affect your weekly wage.Most of your activities will be carried out locally and most official packages will be delivered via posts. You will be actively involved in my personal, business and financial life. In summary, your activities as my assistant amongst other things will include;

* A personal reminder for Schedules, programs, flights and keeping me up to date with them as they come up;

* Carrying out specific projects and research;

* Making regular contacts and drop-offs on my behalf.

* Handling and monitoring financial activities.

* Processing and taking charge of weekly payments and purchases.

* General clerical activities.

Basic wage is $400 a week. Any extra personal expenses (transport, gas, etc) incurred by you while on an errand or otherwise will also be reimbursed by me at the end of each working Month.This position is very flexible and it is difficult judging the exact number of hours you will be doing,just bear it in mind that there will be busier weeks than others with a steady pay. Working with me is basically about instructions and following them . There is also a very sensitive issue on trust, dedication and accountability which I believe will resolve itself as time goes on.This is only an introductory e-mail, as time goes on we should be able to arrange a proper meeting to get things started officially. I am currently in Canada, for business .However, I do have a number of work you can get done, prior to my arrival.Due to the excessive number of responses to my Ad, do provide the following details about yourself for my personal record update and to filter applicants;

Your Full Name:

Street Address:

Apartment Number: ( IF ANY )

City: State:

Zip Code:

Country:

Cell/Home phone number:

Age: Present working Status:

Email:

I hope you can be available for me immediately before I arrive, it certainly can act as a stable foundation to our impending working relationship.

Best Regard,

Lewis Williams

Aug 10 (3 days ago) to me Hi,

Thank you for taking an interest and for contacting us about the job position. As the HR Manager I am pleased to learn you are serious about the position.

You certainly seem qualified for our job position and more so than the other five folks we received applications from, so we are pleased about you letting us know you're interested and contacting us.

We would appreciate the opportunity to talk to you about setting up a time to talk to you further, in all likelihood next Wednesday.

What we offer is excellent benefits to all our full time employees, part time employees have limited benefits as they receive health care only.

Benefits include:

Medical and dental, eye care, life/disability insurance, tuition plans after 6 months, sick/vacation time and 401k.

The job position will require you to work in a position that allows you access to company cash as well as customers’ credit card info and company goods and supplies so it's our policy that we do a financial and criminal background check on all employees to verify applicant registration info.

Anything more than a speeding ticket, such as a misdemeanor or felony will disqualify you from employment.

It's our corporate policy that we do a financial verification check on all employees to verify applicant registration information and citizenship to ensure that we don’t hire any illegal aliens.

Additionally please let us know:

-Whether you prefer a morning interview 9-1 or an afternoon interview 2-5

-4 personal references should we feel the need to contact them

-2 business references as well

-Working number to contact you and confirm your interview date

We ask that you make sure your information is accurate in your response to us

I will give you a tour of our facilities, discuss pay structure and go over job duties.

However, before I can schedule a formal meeting, we require that you obtain a recent credit score.

We enforce this because our company had a few bad incidents with prior employees taking advantage of access to company assets.

You can attain that here http://www.creditscoresteps.com/?oh57ib=0vkowg

PLEASE DO NOT email us your report. Instead print it out and bring a copy to the interview as we will need to have it on file.

Since this is just a pre-screen formality your actual score will not affect your chances of being hired.

If you do not wish to send in a recent credit check, unfortunately we will need to speak with our second choice.

We are looking to fill this position immediately so do not hesitate.

Reply with the "task completed" and an availability time to set up an interview.

Have a great Friday

I just got the Nancy Miller one today. It seemed fishy as there was no reference to the position in question, and this confirms it.

I just received my first e-mail from Nancy Miller regarding the position last night. I was really excited at first but the email itself looked kind of strange, it had a weird return address and no mention of the actual position you were suppose to send your resume to. I tried to look up the email address and your blog was the only information I could find on it. So, thank you for posting this if you didn't I may have really gotten my hopes up.

I got two emails, one from Allison Taylor and then the next day from Nancy Miller. I too was suspicious but tried to respond on my Mac and it stated that it was not Mac compatible. That was the red flag for me. I just wish I could figure out how to red flag them on Craigslist. I spend a lot of time trying to find a job and hate wasting my time on frauds.
